Editorial Policy

Swift Rivals publishes educational content for Swift and iOS developers. This policy explains how content is created, reviewed, corrected, and maintained.

Originality

Swift Rivals articles and documentation are written to provide original explanations, examples, and practical learning guidance. When a page discusses an Apple framework or API, the goal is to explain how developers can use the concept in practice rather than duplicate official documentation.

External resources may be linked when they help readers continue learning. Linked resources are presented as references, not as replacement content.

Accuracy

Swift and Apple platform APIs change over time. Content is reviewed for:

  • Correct Swift syntax
  • Working internal links
  • Clear explanations
  • Practical examples
  • Compatibility with modern iOS development patterns

Some pages may describe older UIKit or app lifecycle APIs because developers still maintain existing apps that use them. When possible, pages explain the context where a pattern is still useful.

Updates

Pages are updated when examples become outdated, links break, explanations need improvement, or new related resources are added. Each major trust page includes a last updated date.

Corrections

Readers can report mistakes through the contact page. Useful correction reports include the page URL, the section with the issue, and a short explanation of the suggested fix.
